Scholarship

Scholarship Programs

QNB offers 50 scholarships annually, to Qatari Nationals who are interested in pursuing higher education studies with leading universities in Qatar. Scholarships are open to high-school graduates and undergraduate university students with outstanding academic record and in accordance with the bank's scholarship policy.

The policy aims to accelerate Qatari human resource development, strengthen citizen capacities and enhance learning and working skills in preparation for entry into the workplace.

Students can choose from among the best domestic and international universities within Qatar. These prestigious universities offer highly valued and advanced educational majors and are considered the best in the world.

Qatarization

Ambassador Program

In 2011 QNB launched the "Ambassador Program" within the framework of Talent Management and Qatari Leadership Development agenda. The aim of the program is to expose high potential Qatari employees to the international banking environment so that they can develop "best international practice" leadership competencies and skills.  Program participants are seconded to QNB international branches for a period of 12-24 months. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will return to QNB Qatar and they will assume leadership positions as per agreed Executive Development Plan (EDP).

Phone Interview

We often invite candidates for short interview by phone to assess some of the important skills and qualifications we are looking for. Phone interview is an efficient means of learning more about you, and letting you learn more about us and the position, before to commit to the time of a face to face interview.

Here some of the tips to help you prepare your phone interview:

  • Schedule it for a time that suits you
  • Review you resume and have a hard copy of it during the interview
  • Ensure an appropriate environment for your interview (quiet spot, enough battery life for you cell phone if you plan to use it)
  • Prepare to expect questions, just as you would for face to face interview

Face to Face Interview

Face to face interviews are excellent opportunities to develop a clear picture of your experiences and explore your achievements and challenges you have overcome.

Be fully prepared. This includes arriving early, dressing professionally, bringing all the documents that we may have asked for, and switching off your mobile phone.

Here are some tips that may increase your chances of success:
  • Do you homework. Before your interview, find out as much as you can about QNB and the job you have applied for. This help you be more confident
  • Review you resume and bring a copy of it to the interview
  • Think about what makes you a good fit with what we are looking for, with concrete examples
  • Prepare questions you want to ask us
